Top 5 PC Games of 2019 So Far

APEX LEGENDS

Metacritic Metascore: 88

Apex Legends is one of the best, if not the best, battle royale games out right now. Great graphics, innovative in-game communication system, better community, microtransactions are only for cosmetics, faster queue times, and other things you want in a battle royale game, plus it is free. Released in February 2019, it is easily gained popularity and reached 3rd in most streamed game according to TwitchMetrics, surpassing PUBG in 4th and behind Fortnite and League of Legends.

You also need not to have a high-end PC as old Intel Core i5-3470 and Radeon HD 7750 graphics card can still give you 40+ fps, but only on Low settings.

You can download Apex Legends from EA Origin client.

Devil May Cry 5

Metacritic Metascore: 89
Steam Rating: Very Positive

It’s been awhile since the last Devil May Cry game, and the last game, DmC: Devil May Cry, failed to fulfill the expectations of the genre’s fanatics. So Capcom took their time to develop a worthy sequel to the series – the Devil May Cry 5. It took off after Devil May Cry 4, and Dante and Nero are back and so as their play style and more. A new character is also introduced – named V – also has a different play style. With these 3 characters, you can play the game to whichever combat style you want to finish off your enemies. The story reveals a couple of twists that may affect other Devil May Cry games, so you better play this game if you don’t wanna get lost in upcoming Devil May Cry games. Devil May Cry 5 is easily the best in the series and one the best action games right now. It scored 89/100 in Metacritic and received “Very Positive” reviews on Steam.

Devil May Cry 5 looks so good and seems to be very well optimized for PC offering a lot of visual settings for adjustments to get that 60 FPS smooth gameplay.

The Division 2

Metacritic Metascore: 84

The original Division released on March 2016 received “Mixed” reviews on Steam and only 6.9 user rating on Metacritic. I you liked The Division, you will like The Division 2. If you didn’t liked it or never played The Division, try The Division 2, you will not disappoint. The Division 2 is the version of the original game should have been. Now set in Washington DC, it has everything the good things the original has and added some really big contents and improvements. They added Specializations, 8 player raids, and Endgame. Upon reaching Level 30, you’ll be able to unlock three specializations – Sharpshooter, Survivalist, and Demolitionist. You will also receive weapons, skills, and modifiers based on the specialization chose. Eight Man Raids will be released as part of the DLC is expected to bigger, more challenging than ordinary incursions compared to the original game. And lastly, the Endgame. Upon reaching level 30, a new faction Black Tusks will be introduced. This group is well-equipped for combat and will invade everything in DC. These additions will keep you busy fighting, looting, and challenged throughout the game.

The only downside is the system required to get stable 60+ FPS. It has a pretty demanding system requirements to achieve that. You’ll need Intel i5 8000 series and a GeForce GTX 1660 to get 60FPS at 1920×1080 Ultra settings.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Metacritic Metascore: 89
Steam Rating: Very Positive

From the developers of Dark Souls series, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is another great 3rd person action RPG. Set in feudal Japan, you play a shinobi trying to rescue your young master with a magical bloodline. Though it is developed by FromSoftware, developer of Dark Souls series, this is a completely different game. It has a different story, combat mechanics, and different take on finishing levels. No two bosses will be defeated using the same tactics you used on the previous bosses. This game will hooked you into game figuring out different tactics to take down bosses. The game is too hard and tedious, but it so satisfying and rewarding you don’t mind dying hundreds of times throughout the game. The graphics is also great. Varied environments and locations gives you different feel. It also has a lower system requirements compared to other AAA titles out at the same time. A Radeon RX 570 can still give you 60FPS at 2560×1440 with mixed medium and high settings.

If you are a hard core fan of 3rd person action games and want to be challenged, get this.

Resident Evil 2 Remake

Metacritic Metascore: 89
Steam Rating: Overwhelmingly Positive

After 20 years from the release of the original Resident Evil 2, Capcom released its remake edition. But this isn’t just an ordinary remake. Developers worked hard recreating this classic to fit into the modern graphics engine. It relives the old horror and terror with outstanding atmosphere and fearful sound score. They also added twists to the campaign and extra contents upon completing the campaign. Even if you played the original, Resident Evil 2 Remake feels like a new game. This is easily on the best Resident Evil game and the benchmark on how remakes should be.
