I have had absolutely none of the problems that other people are having. The TN panel is great. Color reproduction is surprisingly good. No dead pixels. Even backlight. If you have the money, buy this monitor (and another GPU)

I just love the ease of use of this monitor. They really took the time is design. From the way the buttons and OSD are setup to the features. 144 hz and GSYNC make this thing look amazing for gaming. A little bright out of the box but after calibrating it looks amazing.

I was waiting for something like this for a long time. if you have the GPU horsepower you need one now! no problems after 2-3 months. the viewing angles for a TN panel are great. 144 HZ is hard to beat and there is no lag whatsoever.

    Pros: Smoothness

    Cons: Cost

10/10. The difference from a really bad 23 inch 60hz monitor and this 27 inch 1440p 144hz beauty is unbelievable. My aim is so much better and no matter how fast you are moving you can see enemies. I have my games set to run about 70-144 fps on a single gtx 780. With G-Sync it is so smooth with no tearing or lag at all. You can’t even feel huge frame drops. If you are on the fence just get it.

The ASUS ROG Swift is considered to be one of the best monitors on the market right now for gaming (perhaps even the best). Personally for me, 1440p is much more realistic for gaming than 4K at this point in time. Even the GTX980 which just released cannot get close to 60FPS @4K, but will get you 60FPS @ 1440p with high/ultra settings.

In addition, the monitor also has G-SYNC, which is an amazing piece of technology. Gaming from 45-70 becomes much more smooth versus a regular monitor, allowing you to increase settings and not having to worry about maintaining a 60+ FPS minimum. It also eliminates screen tearing and input lag from v-sync. (It is worth noting that frame drops below 45-ish were immediately noticeable by me). G-Sync may also let you stick with 1 high-end GPU instead of 2, due to increased flexibility you can have with frames.

Lastly, the monitor itself has great construction. The base is quite large and it includes an external power supply, but that tradeoff is due to the incredible slim bezel of the monitor (smallest I’ve ever seen). Also, the on/off switch is instant, which is also a neat addition.

Essentially, this is the best monitor for gaming on the market if you have the computer rig to utilize it, and don’t mind the steep price. I personally don’t mind the $750, as current 1440p 60fps monitors still average $450-500, and this monitor gives you 144 FPS and G-Sync for only a couple hundred more dollars. This is a TN monitor though, but for me the color and viewing angles were good enough as my main monitor.
